Welcome To wiccafaedawn
“Believe in the sunshine behind the rain clouds,
Believe in the blue sky behind the grey”

HAIL & WELCOME !
I won’t bore the pants off you all by giving you my “ I was born in….” etc, because life’s too short ! Suffice to say I was born, somewhere, at some point, bumbled through school managing to grab 4 ‘O’ levels on the way (yes, I am that old!). Then it was on to 2 successive fashion design courses at colleges in Cheltenham & York, where I picked up an OND and a HNC in Fashion & Design (along with a nasty bout of glandular fever, thank you very much!).
And so, here I am now, having run a successful design/dressmaking business for 20-odd years, meeting lots of different folks, and picking up quite a few stories along the way (some of which would make your hair curl, believe me!). I have met lots of lovely, some not so lovely, and some downright strange but lovely people, and yes, my fair share of 'Bridezillas' !

I have also been involved for a while in selling my wares (or not, depending on the mood of folk), at craft fairs in and around my local area. Starting with waistcoats, which were popular at the time mainly thanks to snooker players on TV in their ‘no-dads’. When these tailed off (the waistcoats, not the snooker!), I moved over to my other interest and produced a small range of herbal items. There’s more to Rosemary & Thyme than stuffing you know (or a TV programme about 2 amateur lady detectives!).

Faery Wings
Most of the things I produce are made using recycled items or fabric left over from work I have done. I recently had a huge sort out of all the material I have squirreled away over the years ( and indeed am still squirreling away), and even after giving 2 bin bags to a local school and 4 to a friend who makes rag rugs, I still have 4 bags full for making stock-EEK! Plus the 3 bags of material for making costumes for the local party shop of course - double EEK!
I am always on the lookout for useful things like wire coat hangers (not the manky plastic things thank you!), coloured tights (clean & unholed please), and large wooden curtain rings, so if you are having a clear out……
I try to keep things as natural as possible, so garden prunings become plant markers or wands, driftwood found on Welsh beaches also make beautiful wands or pendulums, along with tide-worn sea glass.
I am always seeking inspiration for new ideas, and busy producing and ‘remastering’ things for 2011.
Other interests of mine are photography, reading, the paranormal, all matters psychic (I am currently honing my oracle card reading & natural clairvoyant skills), nature, visiting ancient sites, listening to music , attempting to learn the didgeridoo, belly dancing, gardening, visiting Wales and doing Sudoku puzzles in the bath.

I am also blessed to have a wonderful, loving and supportive other half, David (yes, you, stop looking over your shoulder to see who’s there !), and an amazing circle of friends who are all beautiful, gifted & talented in their own way. No names (too many to list), but they know who they are. Thank you all.
So, there you are. That’s me in a nutshell so to speak. Please feel free to peruse the photographs and any ramblings that may appear from time to time. Check out my fixture list too. I am always grateful to hear of any interesting craft/psychic/healing festivals that I could add to my “National Tour”.

BLESSED BE
